With the release of Proteus 9, Labcenter has introduced theme functionality, allowing users to customize their interface. The new Proteus 9 themes include two default options: the Standard theme, which retains the familiar look of the Proteus 8 default theme but with brighter and more refined colors, and the Proteus Dark theme, designed for those who prefer a darker, more modern interface that reduces eye strain
Users can easily switch between these themes in the global system settings, making it simple to toggle between light and dark modes based on personal preference or working conditions. This new feature enhances flexibility, ensuring a more comfortable and visually appealing user experience.
Downloading and installing Proteus 9 themes is an easy process that lets you customize your interface with different styles.
Download the Theme
First, download your desired Proteus 9 theme from the following link:

These themes are developed by me, and more will be released in the coming days. On the themes page, simply click on the image of the theme you want, and your download will start automatically.
Extract and Move the Theme Folder
Once downloaded, you’ll have a ZIP folder. Follow these steps:
- Extract the ZIP file.
- Copy the extracted Proteus theme folder.
- Paste it into the correct Themes directory based on your installation type:
- For a Standard Installation:
C:\ProgramData\Labcenter Electronics\Proteus 9\Themes - For a Portable Installation:
Open the Proteus 9 installation folder, where all directories (including “Themes”) are housed in a single root folder.
- For a Standard Installation:
Apply the Theme in Proteus 9
- Open Proteus 9.
- Go to Global System Settings.
- Navigate to the Themes section.
- Select your newly installed theme and apply it.
Proteus will notify you:
Restart Proteus 9, and your new theme will be fully applied. Enjoy a fresh, customized look!
